Stunning Alpine views, dense chestnut forests, roaring waterfalls and idyllic paths: The area around Barbian, a small village high above the Eisack Valley, has everything typical of the stunning natural landscapes of Alto Adige.
There are easy walks to go on with your family as well as ambitious tours of the peaks: both in summer and winter the Eisack Valley offers countless outdoor activities.
The Klausen Card offers lots of possibilities! For example, free use of public transport, several ski lifts and swimming pools. Finally there are guided tours, a bus for hikers and many offers for children and adults.
An incredible setting
with natural sights
Visit the impressive waterfalls or the famous 3 churches in Barbian. The hiking and skiing areas of the Seiser Alm, Villanderer Alm and the Rittner Horn are also in the immediate vicinity and can be reached in 30 minutes by car. It's a 15-minute drive to the nearest outdoor swimming pool in Klausen or you can easily take the bus. The bus stop can be reached on foot from Weirerhof in 10 minutes.
You are welcome to borrow our robust Gasser toboggans for your tobogganing trip. You can find them in the ski room near the ski boot dryer. In summer you can find balance bikes, inline skates, scooters and pedal tractors, which can of course be rented
In Barbian there is a well-stocked grocery store and a unpackaged store. There are also some restaurants and bars as well as a hair salon, a cosmetics studio and a tattoo studio. All of these businesses are within walking distance from our house.
